Cronies collect again

Cronies scoop another big trophy to end magnificent season

Cronies football club added another piece of silverware to their showcase cabinet when the defeated Sidmouth Town on penalties in thursdays Morrison Bell final at Washbrook meadows.

The game at Ottery was as expected a top contest but after 90 minutes no goals and the teams could not be separated. Extra time was then almost completed when Cronies took the lead only for the vikings to equalise right away so it went to pens. Sidmouth failed all three spotkicks, Cronies converted their three so the cup went to the team which has won the Division One championship, the Firewatch Devon Senior cup, the Grandisson cup and the the Bell trophy. Their only loss has been the East Devon Senior cup yet here again they were finalists.

Cronies are now expected to be playing in Premier next season, and should be a big success based on their exploits so far after just four seasons.
