Colyton and Villa set to go clear

Joint leaders seeking New rear victories to open a gap at the top

Both Colyton and Exwick Villa have the chance to break away from their other title rivals when they kick off the New year on their own parade. Colyton with the sllght advantage of goals difference are at home to Witheridge, while the Villa play host to bottom of the table Okehampton Argyle.
Neither Newtown or Cronies are in action, so Lyme Regis could move up to fourth if they win at Topsham Town.
Upottery have the chance to press their claim when they welcome Beer Albion and Clyst Valley can also closeup if they win at home to Feniton.
Heavitree United complete the Premier programme with a visit from Seaton Town.

Division One leaders Kentisbeare face the journey to Hatherleigh Town in what could be match of the day, but focus away from the league is the much delayed Firewatch Devon Senior cup clash between Lapford and Crediton United as the pair seek a quarter final place
There are also three Devon Intermediate cup fourth round ties held over from December. Dunkeswell Rovers face Elmore at Bickleighs Happy Meadows, Spreyton make the journey to Holsworthys Upcott Fields, and Sidmouth Town have the longest trek away to Appledore Lions. Success for the trio would book a quarter final slot in February.
There is also a Football Express Cup clash between Cheriton Fitzpaine and Bravehearts on offer.

Back to league action Division Two leaders Royal Oak have a tough meeting away at Thorverton who cannot really afford to lose if they wish to press their claim for the title. Unbeaten Whipton & Pinhoe are at Uplowman Athletic who have been showing signs of improvement after a poor start to the season.

Division Three’s big game is between East Budleigh and Ottery St Mary which has added impetus being a local derby, as are the meetings between Newton St Cyres and Sandford, and Otterton at home to Budleigh Salterton.

The leading pair in Division Four Alphington and Elmore have home advantage against Sampford Peverell and Millwey Rise respectively and throughout Divisions Five to Eight are some exciting fixtures to kick start the New Year.

Wherever your saturday takes you the Macron Devon & Exeter League wishes everyone a Happy New Year.
