Cronies make a big point

Premier new boys first team to take points from the eagles

Cronies became the first team to dent Elmore’s 100% Premier record with a goalless draw at Coronation fields. Defences ruled in a tough battle on a muddy pitch, but the Cronies in their first ever Premier season were well worth their share of the spoils. Elmore still look uncatchable, and will not be too alarmed, but their hosts were more than pleased with the result.

Other major highlights saw unbeaten Colyton win their Division 2 derby against Lyme Regis 2-0, and Division 3 leaders Bampton come from two down to beat East Budleigh 3-2.

Div 4 leaders Whipton & Pinhoe preserved their 100% record with eleven of the best against Winkleigh while the Black Swans won their top of the table Div 5 clash against Millwey Rise 3-1 to prepare for thursdays County cup final.

Elmore Res, the Swans opponents this thursday, made history by staging both home and away matches against Awliscombe winning 1-0 and 2-0. Well done the eagles and the Horsdon Park Groundsman.
