Six games beat the weather including one cup tie

but over 50 matches succumb to the persistent rain

Just five league matches and one cup quarter final defied the weather this weekend. The briliiant Furzebrake pitch at Beer and the 3G ground at Exwick stagd the two Premier games played, with the fishermen accounting for Witheridge 3-1 and Exwick Villa beating a stubborn Clyst Valley 4-0.

Dawlish and Axmouth United shared six goals in their Division Two meeting, and it also finished 1-1 between Woodbury and Kentisbeare, the wooders missing the chance to overtake joint leaders Bampton whose fixture as Halwill was a weather casualty.

East Budleigh won 9-3 in their Division Seven match at Bradninch Town.

Elmore Res are through to the semi finals of the Football Express cup thanks to a 4-1 win at Exmouth Spartans. The eagles second string are determined to match their senior side who have won every game this far.
