Tipton topple the Oaks

Seaton bragging rights as they down the Beer

Tipton St John stole the show this weekend as they gunned down previously unbeaten Div 2 leaders Royal Oak 2-1 and a first win for the village side.

Newtown completed the quarter finalists for the East Devon Senior cup with a routine 5-1 win at home to Chagford.

In Premier Seaton Town wearing huge smiles after their 3-1 win at Beer Albion their oldest nearest and dearest rivals. Down the road Lyme Regis hit double figures against a bare 11 Okehampton, Cronies hit Feniton for six and Colyton beat Clyst Valley 4-2 but took their time.

Upottery edged a battling Topsham 2-1, and Witheridge also won 2-1 after coming from a goal down at home to Exmouth Town.

Joint First Division leaders Lapford and Kentisbeare racked up big victories, and Bampton despite finishing with ten men turned their match around with a last minute penalty to beat Wellington Town 2-1.

Whipton & Pinhoe closed the gap at the top of Div 2 after a 6-1 win at Priory on their old battleground of Hamlin Lane.

In Division Three Ottery St Mary get ten at North Tawton, and Axmouth United stun Otterton 2-0. Lympets two up at the Uni then lose 3-2

Alphington and Hemyock preserved their joint leadership in Div 4, and more double figures clocked up at Halwill where they routed Pinhoe 10-1.

Div 5 leaders Upottery held at Devon Yeomen, while in Div 6 newly taken over Spreyton get ten of the best at Chagford.

East Budleigh back as Div 7 leaders following six of the best at HT Dons and Dawlish United happy tp preserve their 100% record with a 5-1 win at Tedburn and continue their leadership of Div 8. Topsham completed the five teams to get ten goals as they sent Amory Greens Rovers packing 10-2.

One Geary cup tie played, saw the Village Inn through 6-5 on penalties at Broadclyst after the pair finished 3-3.
