Treble tops for Eagles, Okes and seasiders

Three out of three for the leaders

Elmore edge top place in Premier after completing a treble of victories to start the season. The Eagles share first place on nine points with Okehampton Argyle and newly promoted Exmouth Town who all looked very impressive.

The other Divisions also began this weekend, Lyme Regis making an early impace with a three goal win against Chagford, and single goal successes for Alphington Res and Chard Town Res.

Newtown Res beat Newton Poppleford 6-2 in their opening Div 2 clash, but play was held over for an hour after town player Alex Woolsgrove suffered a broken leg.

Ten of the best for Crediton Res in their opening Div 3 game against Pinhoe, and 29 goals scored in the four Div 4 matches played the game at Winkleigh saw the home side get home with 7-4 odds against the Albion.

Ilminster Town and neighbours Hemyock shared a ten goal thriller in Div 5.

A win for newly formed Spreyton in their first ever game as they took care of Amory Green Rovers 6-3 but no joy for Willand XI as they were edged 3-2 at Colyton.
