Colyton brothers in arms settle the Jurassic classic at Lyme

Last minute penalty denies Cronies, bumper crowd and frantic finish sees Exwick Villa grab 2-2 draw

Exwick Villa hit back from two down to snatch a point with a Mark Saunders penalty and a 2-2 share against Cronies in their Premier clash at Coronation fields, so a  their third draw on the trot for last seasons runners up as Villa tuck in just two points off the pace.

A second win on the road for Heavitree United as they get the only goal at Exmouth Town.

Crediton on a goal spree in Division 2 against promotion allies Priory, and a first three points for Whipton & Pinhoe as they get the only goal from a cracking match at Thorverton.

Sandford hit double figures in their Division 3 game against North Tawton, and plenty of goals in the other midweek matches played to.night

Tuesday night round up

A good crowd at Davey Fort on Tuesday witnessed the huge clash between the two newly promoted teams Lyme Regis and Colyton and saw the visitors Richards brothers share second half goals to earn Colyton a 3-0  success

Just three days after crashing 9-0 at Newtown, Topsham Town made a much better effort but could not prevent Newtown completing the double as they won 4-2.

Feniton beat Upottery 4-1 with some stunning second half goals in a match much closer than the end result.

Lapford off to a great start in Div One as they get a nap hand against Hatherleigh Town, while Heavitree pocketed their first points winning their city derby 2-0 against Alphington.

The Royal Oak set the pace in Div 2, a 2-0 win at Uplowman doubling their account.

Lots of goals elsewhere. Hemyock hit five against Sampford Peverell in Div 4, Devon Yeoman won 8-3 against Bravehearts at Bettysmead, and Spreyton hit yet another opponent for six in Div 6, their latest victims were Chagford beaten 6-1.

The two returning clubs Broadclyst and Bickleigh celebrated wins against Culm and Thorverton respectively, and new boys Cowick Barton were elated with a 5-0 success at Pinhoe.

Plenty more action on Wednesday  leading with Premier offerings at Cronies v Exwick Villa, and at Exmouth Town against Heavitree and matches in all divisions from Two – to Eight.
