AFC Exe 100% record axed by the students
Heart of Oak chopped down in County cup
INTERMEDIATE DIVISIONS
Division Five leaders AFC Exe had their 100% record destroyed by the University on the end of a 3-0 scoreline, but the Cowick Barton based team remain six points clear of the field.
Elmore their nearest rivals were not in action and Cheriton Fitzpaine suffered a 4-0 reverse at KGV against Topsham Town obviously not suiting the early kick off.
Dawlish United came out 7-5 ahead against Cranbrook United, Amory Green Rovers recorded their second win 4-2 at home to Upottery whose Jamie Doody and Tim Huxley scored consolations.
Okehampton Argyle kept their six points cushion as Division Six leaders but Faclons ran them close before going down 2-1.
Uplyme in a hot spell were 3-2 winners at Kenn Valley United who reckon their game was a little off after a three week lay off. Jonny Davey 2 and Finlay Mclean with the Uplyme goals, Jamie Sly and Dan Hooper with the home goals.
St Thomas Social Club moved into third place winning 5-0 at Devon Yeomen, but the University missed that chance after held to a 3-3 draw by Sandford. Devon Mcmillan, Mike Thurbin and Rory Parsons with the students goals.
Witheridge have something to cheer at last their first points and a 4-0 win at Seaton Town.
No let up by Division Seven leaders Starcross Dons as they slammed eight goals past Bradninch without reply.
Beacon Knights also had a good day at Sidmouth Town where they won 6-2, and Dolton Rangers won a thriller at Thorverton 4-2.
Points shared at Cheriton against Otterton where it ended 3-3. Liam Gallagher, Brad Winteridge and Jay Jackson with the Otters goals.
Another big victory for Division Eight leaders Whipton & Pinhoe as they prospered 6-1 at home to Bow AAC. Andy Felton with a hat-trick, Lewis Brown, Harry Fawkes and Tai Mitchell with singles.
Cranbrook United kept pace winning 4-1 at home to Tedburn St Mary, as did Newton St Cyres thanks to an 8-3 result at home to North Tawton whose Richard Keast with two goals and Bailey Voaden gave them something to cheer.
The University almost claimed their first point but were edged 3-2 at Millwey Rise.
Westexe Park Rangers beat Exeter Panthers 5-1 in the other game played.
City Raiders 6-1 win at Feniton opened a seven points margin in Division Nine, especially with Ex Dons losing 4-2 at home to South Zeal United. Scott Hooper nd Luke Jones with the Dons goals.
Exmouth Rovers beat Whipton & Pinhoe 3-1 win the other match played.
DEVON INTERMEDIATE CUP ACTION
Dismay for the Heart of Oak in their third round tie at home to Paignton Saints. The Oaks finished at 1-1 but lost 4-2 on penalties.
