ALL THE COUNTY CUP ACTION AND HOW OUR TEAMS FARED

SPORTSLIGHTING DEVON PREMIER CUP

A bleak day for the League in the Devon Premier cup with all three teams losing out. Kentisbeare may have been the unluckiest as they went under 1-0 at Plymouth Phoenix to what they claim was a dubious first half penalty. Sidmouth Town’s reserve side did well to hold Devon League Newtown to just a 2-1 scoreline, but Clyst Valley could not handle Budleigh Salterton who were 5-0 winners at Winslade Park.

However some bright results in the Devon Senior cup with Seaton Town cantering to an 11-0 success against Dartmouths reserve side, and Upottery coming back from Plymouth with a 9-2 win against DC Auto Repairs.
The University won their game at Exmouth Spartans 3-0, and could go far in this tournament as could Bow AAC with their 5-2 win against St Martins, and also Beer Albion Res who were too strong for the Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police squad.
Tedburn St Mary and Uplyme could not find the net in normal time but in the penalty shoot out the goals ran into double figures before Tedburn nicked it 11-10.
AFC Exe stormed through 5-0 at home to visitors Hunter District of the Plymouth League, and an excellent result from Bravehearts as they triumphed 5-2 at Millbridge another West Devon side.
Also into round three are East Budleigh from a narrow 3-2 win against Hemyock, Teignmouth Res who also won 3-2 at home to Braunton, and Lympstone 4-1 against Dunkeswell Rovers.
The exit door saw Sidmouth Town slammed 10-0 at home by Beesands Rovers, Heavitree United gone 2-0 at home to Newtown, an Central slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Ilsington Villa.
A heavy 5-1 defeat for Dawlish United at home to Watcombe Wanderers and for Budleigh Salterton 4-1 at home to another Plymouth team Tamar View.
Hatherleigh Town are also out losing 5-3 at Newton Abbot Spurs, and Cullompton Rangers Res hopes were extended on friday evening when they beat Central Park Rangers of the Plymouth League 3-0. Originally texted in as an away win.

A & S PAVING DEVON INTERMEDIATE CUP

Some modest scoring in the Devon Intermediate cup but not so at Whipton & Pinhoe where they romped into round 3 with a crushing 11-0 victory agains the thirds of Paignton Villa.
Exmouth Rovers were too good for Brixham Town where they won 6-2, City Raiders likewise winning 5-1 against Lynton from North Devon and Dolton Rangers who enjoyed their 5-0 win at home to Chudleigh Athletic.
More locally Amory Green Rovers won 4-2 at home to Devon Yeoman, Central won 3-0 in their derby with Priory, Witheridge edged it 2-1 against Upottery, Thorverton were pleased with their 3-0 win against Exeter Royals and the Heart of Oak just got through 1-0 at home to Ipplepen.
Starcross Dons travelled to South Molton where they won 4-2, North Tawton happy to take out Cranbrook United 2-1 while Sandford also made it through 2-1 at home to Millwey Rise.

Sadly out are AFC Morchard Bishop 5-3 on penalties after getting to 2-2 at home to the Wizards of Kingsley.
A similar fate for Cheriton Fitzpaine at home to Kingskerswell & Kellaton 4-3 on pens after drawing 2-2, and a 5-4 penalty defeat for Westexe Park Rangers after they also ended 2-2.
Bampton went down 4-3 at home to the Saints from Paignton, Ottery St Mary out 3-0 at Bovey Tracey, Tedburn St Mary out 5-0 at home to AFC Dumnoni of the Plymouth League.
Heavy defeats for Hatherleigh Town 5-2 at home to Kingsteignton, Lympstone 7- 2 at Broadhempstone also of the South Devon League, but delight for Beacon Knights in the same area winning 2-1 at Newton Rovers.
The Universitys 7th team won 3-0 at Okehamptons thirds

Twitter feed tells us that Hemyock Res went down 5-0  against Braunton but neither side has yet texted in.
