ALMOST FULL ATTENDANCE FOR AGM

LYME REGIS VOTED MOST SPORTING PREMIER TEAM AGAIN

The League held a successfull Annual General Meeting at America Hall Pinhoe on friday evening with all but three clubs putting in an appearance. A minute’s silence was held at the start in memory of the late Chairman Roland Brown, and former secretary Chris Davey.

Business was done quite speedily as many were planning to get back and watch the Germany v Scotland Euros clash, but rule changes and acceptance of new clubs went through without opposition.

The League did ask clubs for their approval to delay the constitution in the light of the situation last season and almost all were in agreement. Chris Cole in his role as Chairman and fixtures secretary hoped he could get this done by June 30 but asap anyway.

The closing act of the meeting was the Bill Rees sportsmanship shield award to Lyme Regis for the second year running. Voting is done by Premier referees and the Fort Davey club toped the charts with an average mark of 87.46. Sidmouth Town were second 87.35 and Upottery third with 87.15. The full list will be available on the League website asap.
