Alphas goal difference makes the difference
Premier round up September 24
PREMIER ACTION
Alphington powered to the top of Premier after their emphatic 9-0 victory at home to Dawlish United. With joint leaders Crediton United having to work far harder for their 4-2 victory at a battling Colyton, goal difference saw the Alphas ahead.
Clyst Valley were also in the mood for goals and into third place as they won 6-3 at Sandford who have to wait a while longer for that first Premier victory since the 60s.
Lyme Regis saw off pointless Ottery St Mary 6-1, and Kentisbeare clocked up their first win but were run close by Sidmouth Town.
Elmore were due to face Okehampton Argyle in the Devon Premier cup but the Okes were unable to get a side together and so forfeited the tie. The eagles reward is a second round tie at Dawlish United on October 8th.
