ALPHAS ROCKETING AWAY
Premier leaders nearly out of sight already
PREMIER ACTION
Alphington are galloping off out of sight following their 8-0 win at home to Okehampton Argyle. The Okes are battling bravely to keep their season going, and the last thing they needed was a heavy defeat at the Premier leaders ground.
Colyton moved into second place some nine points behind the Alphas, but they had a far harder task to edge visiting Sandford 3-2.
Kentisbeare were delighted with their 4-1 success at Sidmouth Town which was only the second defeat on home soil for the vikings.
Clyst Valley showed little mercy to Ottery St Mary winning 6-0 at Winslade Park, but two other fixtures were called off. The University were due to host Elmore at Topsham Road, and Dawlish to welcome Crediton at Sandy Lane but both fell foul of the weather.
Great news for Lyme Regis as they progressed to the net round of the Doreset and Somerset Senior cup. The Ford Davey side held hosts Upwey & Broadway to 1-1 at 90 minutes and after extra time then won the penalty shoot out 5-3.
