City Raiders lose their unbeaten record
INTERMEDIATE DIVISIONS 5-8
Intermediate Division Five leaders Bickleigh dropped points for just the second time this season in a cracking 3-3 draw at Awliscombe United. Great game by all involved. Nathan Harris, Martin Willington and man of the match Stuart Marks with the home goals, Ollie Elsworthy, Nathan Standen and Tom Head with the buzzards goals.
Second place Heart of Oak won 3-1 at Whipton & Pinhoe to move within reach. Tai Mitchell 2 and Lewis Steer getting their goals.
Millwey Rise were 3-0 winners at the University to maintain their challenge, and Starcross Dons were 5-3 winners at Teign Village to also keep in the frame.
Two matches called off as they were unable to field a side. Axmouth United at Amory and Thorverton at St Martins.
City Raiders had their unbeaten Division Six record blown away on their own patch by AFC Morchard Bishop who won 2-1. Chris Andrews and Quinton Smith with the goals. Nathan Willey replying for the dejected home side.
No easing down for Upottery as the leaders beat rivals Central 4-2. Kieran Pike, Joe Knight, Ryan Pike and Steve Morris with a goal each for the winners.
Dolton Rangers also cut it fine winning 3-2 at Beacon Knights whose Jake Faulkner had both home goals. Jake Burnage and Kieran McGinley on the scoresheet for the winners.
Cheriton Fitzpaine were 3-1 winners at Devon Yeoman, and Witheridge won by the same margin at home to Sandford with Adam Pincombe, Cameron Turle and Ben Payne finding the target.
Exmouth Rovers took another big step towards the Division Seven crown as they beat Whipton & Pinhoe 3-0. Brandon Hodge, George Nicholls and Joe Ramsey scoring.
Otterton went goal crazy at home to Westexe Park Rangers. The Otters won 10-1 with Joe Poulsom and Luke Smith getting hat-tricks. Ryan Wright netted twice with singles from Richard Johnson and Tom Sickelmore.
Another big score at the University where they beat Hatherleigh Town 7-1, and at Bradninch where a lively game ended 4-3 to the visitors City Raiders. Nathan Ziff 2, John King and Ryan Jackson goals on the winning side. Kieran Townsend 2 and Chris Luxton with the Bradninch reply.
Priory and Phoenix United drew 3-3, Ben Robinson 2 and Niam Woodward scoring for Priory, Connor Heard, Connor Pearce and Jack Wellman for the visitors which takes them off the basement rung.
With Division Eight leaders Ex Dons on a day off Tedburn St Mary took the chance to close the gap winning 7-2 at Hemyock. Matt Baker with four of the goals, Jordan Wilkinson 2 and Corey Ringer also scoring.
Bow AAC also closed up with a comfortable 5-0 win at Lympstone, as did Millwey Rise although they had to work slightly harder to better Starcross 2-0.
South Zeal United defeated a good Amory Green Rovers 2-1 with Ryan Sweeney netting twice. Dean Willis with the Rovers return.
Farway United were unable to get a team together to travel to North Tawton.
