Awls top dogs in Intermediate action
INTERMEDIATE DIVISIONS 5-8
Two wins no goals conceded and a happy Awliscombe United set the pace in Division Five. A 3-0 win at St Martins with Joe Mulhall striking twice and Theo Paul once has the Awls buzzing.
Thorverton managed to take the points from their trip to Cranbrook United by a single goal, but the other two games played in this section ended as 2-2 draws including new boys Teign Village held by Amory Green Rovers.
Ottery St Mary still head the way in Division Six despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Morchard Bishop. Luke Paramore with the Otters goal, Luca Marino replying.
Dolton Rangers enjoyed a 4-1 win at home to Sandford with Jordan Bellamy, Will Folland, Oliver Hunt and Declan Hutchings sharing the goals, while Cheriton Fitzpaine were 3-1 winners at Witheridge whose only response was from Adam Picombe.
Priory were close to double figures in their Division Seven game against Westexe Park Rangers who were seen off 9-0. Ashley Parkes and Ben Robinson with hat-tricks for Priory, Craig Allington, Stuart Davis and Conor McGranagham with aces.
Otterton ran out 6-1 winners at home to Seaton Town with Joe Poulton getting a hat-trick. Singles coming from Tom Green, Richard Johnson and a Ryan Wright penalty. Seth Wakley managed a goal for Seaton.
On friday evening Hatherleigh Town welcomed Bradninch but the visitors endured a 5-1 defeat. Tom Madge 2, Connor Madge, Sam Boardman and Jay Porter scoring for Hatherleigh, Carl James for the Ninch.
North Tawton have made a great start in Division Eight winning their second match 8-1 at home to Millwey Rise and they were 7-1 up at halftime. Luca Haydon was their star man with four goals. Singles from Jem Fawcett, Alex Kelly and Ed Daniel.
Hemyock beat Lympstone 4-0, Ewan Duncan, Tom Gay and a brace from Andrew Saunders.
Great game at Farway United where Starcross Dons triuphed 6-3. Aaron Rice 2, Tyler Camp, Brookly Cole, Lewis Lidstone and Gabe Osborne with the Dons goals.
Friday night saw Bampton win 4-0 at home to Amory Green Rovers.
