BEER BALL LOOKING TO END 63 YEAR WAIT

MORRISON BELL CUP FINAL TONIGHT AT OTTERY MAY 28

Beer Albion are seeking to end a 63 year wait to lift the Morrison Bell cup when they face holders Sidmouth Town at Ottery St Mary tonight tuesday May 28. The fishermen last won the trophy in 1961 when they beat Ottery St Mary 5-2 but since then their only other final appearance was 30 years ago losing to Feniton 4-1 in the 1994 final.

Holders Sidmouth have a prolific record in the competition. Tonight would be their 15th success since they first won the cup in 1928, and they have also been beaten finalists on eleven occasions thats 25 appearances in the 87 finals to date.
