News & Reports

With the weather looking set fair this weekend the final programme of 2023 could see plenty of action in all divisions and maybe a change of leadership in Premier. With current leaders Alphington not in action the top game is at Kentisbeare where the second place outfit face third place Winkleigh. A draw would see Kentisbeare take over top spot while a Winks victory would mean they would see in the New Year as Premier leaders, and nobody would have bet on that outcome.
Elsewhere Colyton are looking to maintain their challenge at home to Crediton United Res, and Lapford have the same incentive for their trip to Lyme Regis, who are seeking a good result to stay clear of the drop zone.
Following their massive result at Alphington last week, Sandford are looking to remain in overdrive at home to Okehampton Res, Clyst Valley welcome Sidmouth Town Res and Upottery take on an Elmore Res Side who finally avoided a loss last week after ten defeats in a row.

Six matches also on parade in Division One with leaders St Martins at home to the University 3rds safe in the knowledge that whatever the outcome they will go into the new year as leaders.
Rivals Teignmouth Res are away to Newton St Cyres with Wellington Res home to Hatherleigh Town.

Just three points separate the top six in Division Two, leaders Farway United in with a big local derby against Beer Albion Res, but of their rivals only Westexe Rovers are in action as they pop across to face South Zeal United.

Budleigh Salterton Res will also go into the new year as Division Three leaders even if they slip up at home to East Budlegh in what promises to be a very well supported local derby.
Closest rivals Witheridge protect their unbeaten record against a Heavitree United side which has only lost once this season.

Struggling Chagford have the task of tying to stop Division Four leaders Bickleigh galloping out of sight when they clash at Happy Meadow, however the match of the day in this section has to that be between Honiton Town Res and unbeaten Heart of Oak at Mountbatten Park.

Exeter United will be seeking to avoid defeat at home to Whipton & Pinhie in their Division Five clash which would take them off the basement rung for the first time. The other game scheduled is a derby meeting between Millwey Rise and Upottery Res.

The top four in Division Six clash, leaders Railway FC protect their 100% record at home to Otterton, while Bampton host Whipton & Pinhoe Res.

Division Seven leaders Priory host second place Uplowman Athletic, but in Division Eight just two matches on offer invloving four of the bottom five teams.

St Martins Res make the trip to Axminster Town Res hoping to get their Devon Intermediate cup tie resolved after being postponed twice.
