Buzzards into quarter finals of Intermediate cup
Intermediate programme curtailed by bad weather but still lots of action see below
Bickleigh clinched the last quarter final slot in the Devon Intermediate cup when they won their penalty shoot out against AFC Dumnonii from the North Devon League. The pair had to replay after a bad injury last week forced the tie to be abandoned, and after it ended 1-1 the Buzzards won the penalty shoot-out 4-3.
A reminder of the quarter final draw for Feb 5th and a chance for the Joma league to get a team into all four places available.
Lifton v St Thomas Social Club
Park Rangers v Starcross Dons
Ivybridge Town 3rds v Bickleigh
Waldon Athletic 2nds v Falcons
The bad weather reduced the Intermediate league programme considerably with Division Five totally wiped away and just two matches completed in Division Six. St Thomas Social Club came back from Witheridge with a 6-1 victory under their belts but not before going behind to a Will Pancherz goal. Saints then got going with Declan Voaden netting twice and singles coming from Dean Voaden, Leigh Atkins, Lee Parker and Aaron Haggar
Only one match played in Division Seven with third place Dolton Rangers held to a 1-1 draw by fourth place Cheriton Fitzpaine.
Division Eight enjoyed four results and saw leaders Whipton & Pinhoe maintain their hold with a 4-0 win against Millwey Rise. Andrew Felton with a hat-trick and Brad Goldsworthy on target.
Rivals Cranbrook United were harder pressed by Newton St Cyres before edging home 3-2 Kye Steward 2 and Jack Wright their goalscorers.
The University won 2-0 at City Raiders, Chris Sloan and man of the match Max Bray scoring, while Bow AAC and the Heart of Oak drew 1-1, Mike Tapp with the Bow goal.
Exmouth Rovers 3-2 win at Ex Dons means the two teams now share second place ten points behind Division Nine leaders City Raiders who were not in action. Aaron Dare, Harry David and Chris Porter with the Rovers return.
South Zeal United also won 3-2 at home to Starcross Dons, Ben Davey, Luke John Jones and David Jacobs with the winners goals.
