BUZZARDS REPEAT THEIR COUNTY CUP WIN & BOOK SEMI FINAL SPOT

INTERMEDIATE ACTION DIVISIONS 5-8

Justice was done for Bickleigh as they staked their place in the semi finals of the Devon Intermediate cup with a repeat 2-1 scoreline at City Raiders. The tie was replayed after extra time was wrongly staged last week, so the buzzards happily made it through at the second attempt.

The Heart of Oak kept alive their Division Five title hopes with an overwhelming 9-1 victory at home to Teign Village.
However close rivals Millwey Rise also went on a rampage winning 9-0 against neighbours Axmouth United.
The University settled for a closer victory 3-0 at Whipton & Pinhoe, but Starcross Dons cane still feature and put paid to Amory Green Rovers 7-0.
Thorverton and Awliscombe were a bit goal shy and failed to find the net at all, so a point apiece. Man of match for the Awls was keeper Will Cowley with great penalty save.

Division Six leaders Upottery were given a run for their money by Witheridge but managed to edge over the line 2-1. Camerton Turle with the away goal.
No such trouble for AFC Morchard Bishop at Dolton Rangers where they came good 5-0. Chris Andrews, Liam Gillbard, Adam Bell, Liam Tucker and Alan Woodcock with a goal each.
Central still in the chase as well after a 4-1 derby win at home to Devon Yeoman.

Exmouth Rovers stay well clear of their Division Seven rivals after a 7-2 success at Phoenix United. Jordan Maidment and Ethan Parsons with the home goals.
Rivals Exeter Royals match at Priory was abandoned after just 20 minutes due to an injury and will probably need to be replayed.
Whipton & Pinhoe move into second place after a narrow 3-2 win at home to Wextexe Park Rangers, slipping above Otterton who were on a day off.
City Raiders finished 3-2 ahead against the University and a similar win for Newton St Cyres at Hatherleigh Town with Craig Lambton 2 and Ben Taylor scoring for the Exeter team.
An enjoyable match for Bradninch 5-0 winners at Seaton Town with Chris Luxton, James Mills, Liam Reed, Ryan Shrewsberry and Kieran Townsend sharing the goals.

32 goals recorded in just four Division Eight matches largely due to North Tawton racking up a 14-1 win at Amory Green Rovers. Top of the countdown was Will Bragg with 4, Ed Daniel, Sam Thurlbeck, Luke Taylor Haydon and Sam Thurlbeck with doubles, Callum Sercombe, Cameron Fahy, Steve Ward and Liam Sercombe with singles.
That result made South Zeals 7-2 win at Bampton seem a little tame but Zeal were delighted with Gareth Osman 3, Rhys Holland 2, Dan Thorne and Ethan Lambourne on the mark.
Tedbury St Marys challenge remains well on target after their 4-2 win at home to Lympstone, but Bow AAC hopes may have faded after being held 1-1 by Hwmyock.

St Martins are through to the semi finals of the Fooball Express Cup. The Exminster team beat Beacon Knights 3-1 with Dan Heagney, Jack Phillips and an own goal getting them through.
