County & local cup summary for our teams in three counties

Crediton United Res hopes of taking their league form to upset Sportslighting Devon Premier Cup rivals Mount Gould foundered at Lords Meadow where they were beaten 3-1. The Plymouth side who have won the trophy twice in the last three seasons and were last seasons semi finalists moved into round 3 and will be joined by Elmore Res who were 5-2 winners at Dawlish United, the home of the first winners (Dawlish Town) in 1970 when the cup was first reeled out.
Newton St Cyres also won 5-2 at Bampton to progress into round 3 of the Robert Williams Estate agents Devon Senior cup, but Awliscombe United are out of the A & S Paving Devon Intermediate cup after a narrow single goal defeat away to Bideford.
It is not often our teams travel to far distant lands but Wellington Res dipped out of the Dorset & Somerset Senior trophy losing 4-1 at Peasedown Miners Welfare FC, a very old club whose ground is just south of Bath City.
Chard Town Res were also due to play at Parsons Street Old Boys from Bristol but forfeited their place.
On the plus side Lyme Regis were given a walkover into the Dorset Senior County Cup as their hosts Cranborne were unable to field a team.
More locally Central stormed into the next round of the Bill Slee cup as they ran out 9-0 at home to a weakened Halwill outfit, and Bravehearts are also through following a 4-1 victory at Chagford.
The only Geary cup tie on offer saw Westexe Park Rangers get through 3-1 on penalties after getting to 2-2 at the end of normal time.
