Dawlish hit for six by Premier leaders Lapford

PREMIER ACTION
Lapford took another stride towards retaining the Premier championship as they battered Dawlish United 6-1. It kept Lapford three points clear of Thorverton now their only challengers who in turn made sure they did not slip further behnd as they won 4-1 at Okehampton Argyle. At Dawlish the Lapford scorers were Mark Tucker with a hat-trivk, Ben Tucker, Dom Stapleton and Joe Badcock.
Any slim hopes Beer Albion had of catching up were destroyed by a surprise 4-2 defeat at home to Axminster Town. The tigers struck through Aaron Daniels 2, Scott Wells-Burr and Lewis Waldy. Finlay Rooke and Charlie Ledger were the fishermen’s scorers.
SENIOR ACTION DIVISIONS 1 – 4
Alphington took over the Division One leadership from a 2-1 win against Hatherleigh Town but it was not an easy success. Former leaders Crediton were due to face Wellington but Lords Meadow failed the weather test.
Sandford continued their good form with a 4-2 win at home to Upottery, Sam Reeve 2, Tudor Morgan-Huggett and Dean Pidgeon scoring.
Bow AAC enjoyed a surprise 9-2 rout of the University, Ryan Gibson-Heard leading the way with a hat-trick. Josh Coles with a double, Callum Vanstone, Alex Bowden, Billy Conabeare and Pete Steer getting in the act as well.
Lympstone were 1-0 winners at Chard Town, Adam Watts with the vital goal, while East Budleigh plundered a 5-0 victory at Halwill with both Rian Hill and Ben Hobbs netting twice, Hugo Demetre once.
Winkleigh are heading ever nearer to the Division Two title following a 4-0 win at home to Dunkeswell Rovers.
The University challenge was maintained with a 6-3 win against Alphington, Isaac Hopkins with a hat-trick, Gianluca Capuano, Dan Coates and Tommy Hutchinson also scoring.
Tipton St John celebrated five wins in a row as they edged Newton St Cyres 2-1. Josh Bradley and Jody Freeman scoring.
Clyst Valley were delighted with a 4-1 success at Chagford, Chim Chinnah with two of the goals, but it finished all square 3-3 between Exmouth Spartans and Tedburn St Mary whose Dom Cochran, Joe Cochran and Jordan Gillham found the target. Sam Dickinson with all three Spartans goals was their man of the match.
There were two startling scorelines in Division Three. Second place Westexe Park Rangers shattered leaders Devon Yeoman 6-0, and at the other end of the table Honiton Town racked up a 14-1 win against Pinhoe. Ryan Pike led the spree with six goals, Zak Harrison notched three, Josh Boulton, Adam Down, Aidan Harrison, Corey Leisk and an own goal did the rest.
St Martins were 2-0 winners at home to Heavitree United, Finlay Short and Joe Winsor on the mark, and Central won 3-2 at the University whose Will Brown and Jacques Gallea-Souchet scored their goals.
Feniton and Hemyovk drew 1-1, Charlie Don getting the visitors in front, Fenny levelling with a penalty.
No let up by Division Four leaders Cranbrook as they sent Bampton packing 3-1. Callum Hoare, Dan Mcdonald and Sam Steer with the goals.
Farway United are not giving up yet and were 3-0 winners at South Zeal United with Sam Titmuss geeting a brace and Ben Fullick adding a third.
East Budleigh won their derby against Sidmouth Town 2-0, and Witheridge beat Millwey Rise 3-2 in the other match played.
