HUGE CROWD AT MORRISON BELL FINAL, AND MORE TO COME

Washbrook Meadows was packed for tuesday nights Morrison Bell Cup final which saw Sidmouth Town retain the trophy after beating Beer Albion on penalties 4-3. The two teams ended 1-1 after 90 minutes before the usual spotkick showdown won the vikings their reward with the fishermen having to wait another year to lift a cup they have not won for 63 years.

Tonight (Wednesday May 29) Ottery St Mary is again the stage for the Golesworthy cup final between Otterton and Upottery Res, and then on thursday night the same venue for the Grandisson cup final between Budleigh Salterton Res and Sidmouth Town Res.

Kentisbeare are through to the final of the East Devon Senior cup after their resounding 4-1 victory at Crediton United Res, and they will face Upottery in the final at Minster Park Exminster on friday evening at 6.45pm. Expect another big following for this clash.

Also last night saw Exmouth Spartans make it to the Bill Slee cup final when they won 5-4 on penalties at Farway United. The Spartans will now meet the University 4ths also at Minster Park on saturday 1st June and with a 1pm kick off.
