PREMIER ACTION
Thorverton kept alive their hopes of winning their second ever Premier title with a 3-1 victory at Ottery St Mary but were limited in their quest for a high scoring victory by a full strength home outfit. Ryan Moody, John Vanstone and an own goal won it for the thors, but their goal difference against leaders Lapford is now 15. The pair face each other a week on monday and have one other match each to complete the season.
Kentisbeare secured fourth place after a 1-1 draw at Colyton, Callum Somers with the home goal, Luke Abrahams with the Kents reply, while Elmore edged a thriller at home to Lyme Regis 4-3. Joe Bond, Josh Daines and Fred Parsons with the Lyme goals. Callum Old and Mason King both struck twice for the Eagles.
SENIOR ACTION DIVISIONS 1 – 4
Crediton United were held to a goalless draw at Newtown but remain favourites for the Division One title after Alphington were also held to a surprise 1-1 draw at Hatherleigh Town.
Elsewhere Bow AAC ran out 7-3 winners at home to Halwill, goals courtesy of a Josh Williams hat-trick, Josh Coles brace, Jack Evans and Callum Vanstone, and East Budleigh came from a goal down to win 5-2 at Chard Town.
Sandford were 6-2 winners at Upottery with Dean Jones netting four times, and Adam Bilcock twice.
Teignmouth have regained top spot in Division Two after a 5-0 win at home to Tipton St John, and in the other match played Newton St Cyres were 2-1 winners at Dunkeswell Rovers and still have their eye on third place. Cam Smith and Tom Blackmore with the Cyres goals.
The Division Three crown is still not settled despite Westexe Park Rangers 5-1 victory at home to Hemyock. Rangers are due to get three points from an unplayed match but may still neet to win their last game against St Martins, if current leaders Devon Yeoman win their last match at Hemyock on saturday. Goals for the Rangers came from Elliot Perrott 2, Toby Hide, George Harvey and an own goal.
South Zeal United ensured they will finish third in Division Four after beating Bravehearts 5-1. Tom Chastey with a brace, Tom Walsh, Tom Bullingham and Ryan Sweeney with the goals.
East Budleigh won 2-0 against Colyton with Dan Atkinson and Ben Wilks on target
In the end of season mini league competition for Senior clubs ,AFC Exe made sure of winning Group B in League cup One with a 3-1 win at home to Feniton. Two goal Ethan Matthews and Morgan Maule for Exe who will now face either Tedburn St Mary or Otterton. Tedburn are four points clear in Group A following their 3-2 win at Broadclyst with Jordan Gilham 2 and Jamie Pengilly getting their goals. Lucas Mears-Barrett and Brett Wright scored for Broaclyst. Otterton suffered their first defeat 5-1 at home to Clyst Valley which in turn was their first win. Greg McMartin with four of the Valley goals, Max May with the odd one, and keeper Graham Lewis saved a late penalty although beaten earlier by Cameron Brown.
