Kenn crowned Division 4 Central champions

Weekend round up

The second title was decided at the weekend as Kenn Valley United were crowned Division 4 champions with four matches still to play. Kenn crossed the winning line wth a 6-1 win at home to Whipton & Pinhoe Jamie Farrell and Jamie Sly both getting doubles, while Ben McElroy and Ben Saxton toasted with single shots.

PREMIER DIVISIONS
Feniton ended their Premier East season as leaders, after a nail-biting 1-0 win at Dawlish United, courtesy of a typical Charlie Selley strike, but they need a massive favour from Chard Town next saturday. Title rivals Lyme Regis were comfortable 6-2 winners against Kentisbeare and will leapfrog Feniton to take the crown if they win or lose against Chard. Joe Bond with a hat-trick, Cameron Vere, Brad Rowe and Tyler Wellman were Lyme’s marksmen against the Kents, who were still on a high after reaching the Devon Premier cup quarter finals in midweek.
Lapford are on the brink of the Premier West title after edging Thorverton their only rivals 2-1. Dan Tucker and Chris Burrow were the scorers, and a point from their last two matches will be enough even if Thorverton win their last match.Lapford are at Hatherleigh on wednesday evening, while Thorverton are at Newtown who pipped Hatherleigh 2-1 in their meeting, while a Lee Woodman brace helped Elmore beat Alphington 3-1,

DIVISIONS ONE EAST & WEST
1 East champions Exmouth Rovers had their match at home against Teignmouth postponed because their visitors were unable to field a side, but there is a hot battle going on for second place. East Budleigh held off the Otterton challenge with a 4-0 win against Clyst Valley, Jack Rowland getting a couple of goals, while the Otters had a 5-2 win at home to Dunkeswell Rovers. Cameron Brown led the scoring with a treble, Mark Dunne and Liam Gallagher adding singles.
Lympstone celebrated their first win in the revised table pipping Lyme Regis 3-2.
Newton St Cyres ambitions of the 1 West crown took a huge boost as they routed Tedburn St Mary 6-1. Dylan Wilson with a hat-trick, Harry Cox, Nathan Guppy and Cameron Smith with a goal apiece.
Second place Winkleigh also hit six without reply at home to Westexe Park Rangers, and Halwill beat Bow AAC 5-2 and could still feature in the race although they sit fifth.

DIVISIONS TWO EAST & WEST
There is a big twist in the 2 East race with Ottery inflicting a first defeat on leaders Axminster Town. Ben Lawrence and Sam Pyne with the goals, and its now in Otterys hands if they win their last four matches.
Cranbrook were held to an entertaining 5-5 draw at Pinhoe, the away goals from Joe Byrne 2, Jordan MWilkinson 2 and Dan Mcdonald.
Exeter United scorers in their 3-1 win at home to East Budleigh 2 were Steeve Yava 2 and Mustafa Adam.
Devon Yeoman took a big stride nearer the 2 West title with a 6-0 win at Culm United, while their two rivals Centra and Okehampton Argyle could not be split after a 1-1 draw.
South Zeal United and Hemyock also drew 3-3, Liam Benstead, Connor Mills and Dillon Nicholas with the Zeal goals, Thomas Amor 2 and Bruce Read for the Hems who are thinking about having a second team next season.

DIVISIONS THREE EAST & WEST
Winchester are ever closer to the 3 East title after their 2-0 win at Devon Yeoman both goals from Matt Baker, and with Dawlish United losing 1-0 at Cranbrook United. That result left Awlscombe United eyeing runners up as they won a great game at Topsham Town 1-0, Joe Mulhall with the only goal.
Elmore kept the 3 West title on hold as they shocked neighbours and leaders Bradninch 5-3 on their own patch. Curtis Goff, Zack Skinner and Ryan Trump with the home goals.
However their nearest rivals Broadclyst were held 3-3 at Amory Green Rovers Darren Heale, Shane Heale and Ashley Sparkes with the home goals.
Cullompton Rangers stay well in the race after crushing Halwill 7-1 and Witheridge are also in the picture although they had to dig deep to better Chagford 3-2.

DIVISIONS FOUR CENTRAL, EAST & WEST
Thorverton hopes of being runners up to champions Kenn were given a massive blow after they foundered 8-2 at home to Cranbrook United.
Priory now have a chance as they sent Tedburn St Mary packing 3-1. Shane Needs, Jason Ronchetti and Jed Saunders with their goals, Jack Ryan getting one back.
Newton St Cyres won 2-1 at Central, Selway with both goals.
An amazing game in 4 East at Dawlish United where they won 10-5 at home to Bradninch. The visitors goals came from Tom Rhodes 2, Max Rawlings, Sheri Vile, and Alex Plumey.
Falcons cling on to second place after winning 2-0 Harry Jee and Nick Pratt scoring.
Dolton Rangers cut the deficit at the top of 4 West after a 6-1 win at home to Witheridge. Declan Hutchings and Jake Sillifant with doubles, Jake Hutchings and Dan Stafford-Loxley with singles.
Bickleigh dropped from second place after s surprise 2-1 defeat at Westexe Rovers.
Ciaran Nicks grabbed a hat-trick for North Tawton as they beat Lapford 4-2, Charlie Wells also scoring, and a similar result for Morchard Bishop at home to Amory Green Rovers Adam Bell with a hat-trick and Will Lee the other goal.
