Runaway leaders tripped up at Church road

SENIOR ACTION DIVISIONS 1 – 4

Runaway DIVISION ONE leaders Crediton United suffered a shock 5-0 defeat at Alphington their nearest challengers. Man of the match for the Alphas was Tre Davey with four goals, Jamie Dingle getting the other.
The result will also hearten Wellington who enjoyed a 4-1 win at Newtown. Man of the match Tim Scarlett with a hat-trick for the tangerines, Logan Sellick also scoring. Ben Whatmore was the Newtown marksman, Dan Leverton earning their MOM award.
Chard Town returned from their mammoth trip to Halwill with a 5-0 win under their belts, the home side still without a victory this season.
Hatherleigh Town climbed away from danger after beating Lympstone 4-1, Upottery were 2-0 winners at Bow AAC, while East Budleigh and Sandford shared six goals.

None of the top four teams in DIVISION TWO saw any action but there was plenty of entertainment elsewhere. Leading the way were Newton St Cyres 6-0 winners at Chagford thanks to a Dylan Wilson hat-trick, Adam Squire, Tim Leveridge and an own goal.
Struggling Clyst Valley surprised Tedburn St Mary 4-2, whose consolation goals came from Joe Cochran and Gareth Dart.
Alphington ran out 3-0 winners at Exmouth Spartans, Rikki Tucker with a double and George Collier scoring, Alex Bond their man of the match.
Cameron Brown nailed a hat-trick for Otterton as they saw off Dunkeswell Rovers 4-2. Dan Tapp with the fourth.

With DIVISION THREE leaders Devon Yeoman not in action, city rivals Central closed the gap with a convincing 6-1 win at Honiton Town. Jake Pulman had the Honiton goal.
Heavitree United had to battle hard to better Seaton Town 3-2, while in the other game played Hemyock were 7-3 winners at Exeter United, Martin Loader with a hat-trick, Jack Pike 2, Will Gay and Sam Sharpe goals completing the victory.

Farway United go into the new year as DIVISION FOUR leaders after a comfortable 4-0 win at Bampton. Doubles for Josh Short and Ben Fullick.
Chasing Cranbrook were on fire at Cullompton Rangers where they won 9-2. A hat-trick for Jordan Wilkinson and doubles for Callum Hoare, Dan Mcdonald and Jacob Scrivens.
Broadclyst were 4-0 winners at home to Colyton, Yomi Boshuran, Steve King, Josh Riglar and Brett Wright with a goal each.
Sidmouth Town and Millwey Rise shared the points from a 2-2 draw.
