Whilst the East Devon Senior cup took centre stage this weekend, the main story came on thursday when early Premier leaders Crediton United routed a battling Okehampton Argyle 10-1. Star of the show for Kyrton was four goal Will Hamill.
Saturdays cup action meant just two league games, but significantly Colyton moved into second place with a convincing 6-1 win against Ottery St Mary, their third defeat, while Sidmouth Town are up to third after a narrow but welcome 3-2 win against Sandford who are still waiting to celebrate their return to Premier after six decades.

Beaten East Devon Senior cup finalists Upottery hoping to go one better this season were taken to penalties at Hatherleigh Town after a goalless draw. Not many goals in the shoot out either Upottery winning that just 2-0.
A penalty victory by 4-3 for Dawlish United at Teignmouth after a 1-1 draw, Elliot Cole the normal time scorer for Dawlish and a similar story at East Budleigh where they beat Beer 4-3 on penalties after the teams shared a 2-2 draw.
Lympstone are through after a 1-0 win against Chard Town, Mark Dunne the goalscorer, while Elmore just bettered Winkleigh 2-1 with Brad Hewitt and Ryan White getting their goals.
Lyme Regis enjoyed a 5-0 victory at home to Kentisbeare which will have reaised a few eyebrows, and a 3-0 win for Bow AAC at Clyst Valley.
