Our League salutes you

I am sure I speak for everyone involved in and with the Devon & Exeter Football League that we are so proud of tonight’s magnificent achievement and offer our congratulations ⚽️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏆 and so deserved.

Won with passion, pride, skills and sheer belief, and a group of players who have fully earned all that will come their way.

The team cannot imagine how much it will be cheered and celebrated in years to come and how they will be stars and heroines for ever.

I do have a tinge of compassion for German striker Popp who missed out on her great day, Jimmy Greaves comes to mind here, but it takes nothing away from the biggest and greatest ever day in English women’s football.
