Thors out of Senior cup

Ottery St Mary celebrated their first point of the season on friday evening at Washbrook Meadows from a 2-2 draw with neighbours Sidmouth Town. Jack Drew-Cull and Riki Pitter with the home goals, Matt Rasmussen with both for the vikings.

Also on friday the University were 4-1 winners at Axminster Town, Will Bray, Zack Mackay, Tom Sharpe and Ollie Thorpe with the college goals.

Over to saturday and Lapford went top of the table after their 4-1 win against Elmore, but the eagles felt the score undermined their efforts Dom Stapleton 2, Ben and Mark Tucker with the Lapford goals, pick of the side for Elmore was Jake Burridge.

Kentisbeare moved up to fourth after a battle to get the better of Lyme Regis 4-3. Max Atifeh with two goals and man of the match with Rhys Cruse, Luke Horne and Jake Searle also scoring.
Dawlish United beat Colyton 3-1 and that ties the two teams in the table.

Thorverton devoted their attention to the first round of the East Devon Senior Cup but received a shock when they were turfed out 5-2 at Alphington. The Alphas will now be away to Otterton or East Budleigh who play their first round tie today sunday 14th.

Also in the cup today is Beer Albion at home to Exmouth Spartans and Upottery who face Lympstone.
