Player registration for new season has to be under Devon FA membership

Important message to all League Club Secretaries,

Please note that it is mandatory for all players to have Devon FA Membership before they can be registered. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PLAYERS TO CLIVE PAINTER TO BE REGISTERED IF THEY HAVE NOT GOT DEVON FA MEMBERSHIP. Clive has already had over 100 players submitted without Devon FA membership but AS FROM SATURDAY 27TH JULY HE WILL BE REJECTING ANY PLAYER REGISTRATIONS SUBMITTED  THAT DO NOT HAVE DEVON FA MEMBERSHIP.

You should be able to see if a player has Devon FA membership as it will state “Devon FA Member 19/20” under ‘Other club(s)’ in Whole Game, as shown in the attached file.

Players can now sign up online for their 2019-2020 Devon FA Player Membership.
The Devon FA Player Membership confirms that players are authorised to play football in any Devon FA affiliated League or Cup Competition.

IMPORTANT – Please note – players will not be registered with their respective leagues until they have purchased their Devon FA Player Membership, as per rule in the 2019-2020 Devon FA County Handbook.

The new County Rule states that – Clubs and League Registration Secretaries must not register players without the provision of a valid Devon FA Membership. Any player found to be playing in a qualifying fixture without a valid Devon FA Membership will be deemed to be in breach of County Rules and charges will be issued.
The new Player Membership Scheme has replaced the former Player ID Card Scheme which was in place in previous seasons. Club Secretaries will no longer need to arrange ID Cards, and players should purchase their membership online, which is a quick and easy process.

The Devon FA Player Membership Scheme reduces club’s affiliation costs season on season, and also pushes money into our Devon FA DIY Programme. The DIY Programme has been running for 3 years and has seen more than £120,000 be put back into grassroots Devon clubs to make improvements to their ground and facilities.

When players sign up to the Devon FA Player Membership Scheme will receive benefits and discounts throughout the season from organisations and companies around Devon, as well as receive the chance to win FA Cup Final, Community Shield and England tickets to games at Wembley Stadium.
