Ponies and Cronies hoping for good weather
A place in the last 16 of Premier cup awaits
Weather permitting Bampton and Cronies have home advantage for their third attempt at getting into the fourth round of the Devon Premier cup. The ponies face Pennycross SC from Plymouth, while Cronies host Salcombe Town at Coronation fields.
Beer Albion who were due to face Cronies in the East Devon Senior cup, now postponed, instead have a re-arranged league match at home to the University.
League leaders Okehampton Argyle opened a four point gap after coming through their toughest test to date winning 3-2 against rivals Lapford, but now have another big ask at Kentisbeare who feel they are finally getting to grips in the top flight.
Second place Lyme Regis were due to face Lapford, but that is now off as the Davey fort side have yet to resolve their Dorset County Senior cup priorities. Instead Lapford will now be at home to Upottery.
Colyton are up against Feniton which may turn out to be a real battle. Fenny are still smarting from their Premier cup exit to Buckland Athletic losing on penalties after finishing 4-4 against their visitors now operating in the new Devon League.
Completing the Premier line-up, Chagford welcome Whipton & Pinhoe with Sidmouth Town at home to Hatherleigh Town.
There are still numerous ties to be resolved in the Devon Senior and Devon Intermediate cups after all last weeks postponements.
Leading senior team Crediton United have relinquished home advantage against Millwey Rise, but maybe the tie of the day is that between Exwick Villa and Bow AAC.
In the Intermediate competition, Farway United who beat Lapford 4-0 in their delayed second round clash play quick catch up as they welcome Braunton from the North Devon League.
Awliscombe avoid the trip to Appledore after their opponents called off, but Chagford have to travel the other way to play Appledore Lions.
Culm United make the journey to Shebbear in round 2 and if successful will then meet AFC Exe a week later but with home advantage.
