Senior Division action at the weekend

Round up Divisions 1-4 and more Senior cup glory

SENIOR ACTION DIVISIONS 1 – 4
Division One leaders Crediton United cut it fine at Topsham Town but managed to retain their nine points cushion with a 1-0 win. Tom Parkins with the goal.
Alphington in second place saw off their nearest challengers Bow AAC with some ease winning 5-1, and there was more surprise at Sandford where the home team shocked Chard Town 6-0. Doubles from Lloyd Copp and Darren Hughes, aces by Dean Jones and Louis Kinch.
Two own goals contributed to the Universitys 6-2 win at home to Newtown, the others from Luis Christofi, Dan Allchin, George Adsell and Harry Buesnell.
Owen McCreadie-Taylor hammered four goals for Upottery, 5-3 winners at Lympstone who still await their first point. Joby Mabbutt with the other goal..

Beer Albion widened their lead to six points as Division 2 pacemakers winning 2-1 at second place Alphington.
The University enjoyed a 5-1 success at Newton St Cyres which was just their second defeat. Eddie Richardson, Thomas Hutchinson, Oliver Godding, Dan Coates and Gianluca Capuano all with a goal each.
Exmouth Spartans were delighted with a 2-0 win against Dunkeswell Rovers, Rob Welsman and Sam Dickinson scoring but man of the match was named as Alex Coull.
Otterton settled for a 2-1 win at home to Tedburn St Mary, Cameron Brown and Dan Tapp scoring.

Division Three leaders Devon Yeoman had to dig deep to get the better of the University 5-4 in a thriller at Duckes Meadow. Goals for the winners from Bailey Smith, Kris Yelland, Danny Wills, Levi Arthur’s, and Jacob Jack.
Nearest challengers Lyme Regis were 2-0 winners at Hemyock, and had to work a lot harder than Westexe Park Rangers who sent Seaton Town packing 5-1.
Feniton were too good for Pinhoe winning 4-1, bjt game of the day was at Mounbatten Park where Honiton Town won a cracker against Exeter United 4-3. Ryan Pike 2, Wael Elkalha, and Zack Harrison with the home goals, Sayed Omrani, Abdul Shamsaddin and Mikheal Ahklover with the visitors strikes.

Farway United the Division Four leaders needed just a single goal at Cullompton Rangers to stay a point clear of Bravehearts who beat a gallant South Zeal United 5-1. Kris Roper on fire with a hat-trick dominating the day.
An upset at Bampton where Broadclyst came out on top 3-1, Bradley Frost, Matt Venton and Brett Wright on target.
Matt Osman struck twice as Witheridge came good at Sidmouth Town 5-1, Adam Leat, Aaron Carter and Ryan Manning adding singles.
Culm Uniteds run goes on but they cut it close to beat Colyton 2-1 whose reply came from Charlie Bye.

DEVON SENIOR CUP

Three more Joma clubs into Round Four. Teignmouth stormed through 7-0 at Halwill, East Budleigh win at home to Combe Martin 4-2 and St Martins more than a handful for Eastside from Barnstaple winning 5-1. Finlay Short and Hugh Stronge with doubles, Callum Owens with the fifth and the thumbs up given by Exminster veteran Dick Board watching from the sidelines.
