Tangerines win the battle against their fellow cidermen

Just one goal clinches the festive get together at Chard

In Division One Wellington Town won the big local Somerset derby at Chard Town but by just the one goal. Matchwinner for the tangerines was Luke Perry and they also had an impressive performance from Robbie Walker. Victory lifted Wellington to within a point of second place Alphington who were clinching their quarter final place in the Devon Senior Cup away at East Budleigh where they won 3-1. At the same time Newton St Cyres booked their place in the last eight as they edged out Central 2-1.

Back in the league Hatherleigh Town surprised Upottery 2-0 with goals from Connor Madge and Ricky Marinaro, and fellow strugglers Lympstone enjoyed a rare 5-0 success as they packed off Halwill 5-0. Richard Higham 2, Lewis Masters, Billy Phillips and Tom Roswell with the Lympets goals.
Topsham Town bagged a last minute equaliser at Newtown in a cracking game which ended 4-4. Ashley Mcdermid with a hat-trick and Rhys Haines were the home marksmen.

The big match in Division Two between Beer Albion and Winkleigh fiished all square at 2-2, Josh Lund and Will House with the home goals.
A strong Teignmouth side ran up a massive 14-0 victory at home to Clyst Valley, leading the goalscorers were Dan Garswood with 4 and Travis Robinson with a hat-trick.
Exmouth Spartans are now really in the mood and after going a goal down at home to Otterton then recovered to win 6-1. Rob Welsman their top player and Luke Bradford both netted twice, Tom Chudley and Sam Dickinson once.
Tipton St John edged out Alphington 2-1 while Dunkeswell Rovers and Tedburn St Mary shared a 1-1 draw, Dominic Cochran with the teds goal.

Third place St Martins suffered a surprise 5-1 defeat at Seaton Town in their Division Three meeting, and there was another upset at the University where Hemyock grabbed a 1-0 victory, thanks to a Martin Loader goal.
Lyme Regis won the other match in this division at Feniton 5-2. Steve Batey 2, Matt Bradley, Rob and Cam Fowler with the Lyme goals.

The top two in Division Four Cranbrook and leaders Farway United battled out a 1-1 draw and this was the only game staged in this section due to the weather getting the better of the other games scheduled.
