The Albion and Lapford do the League proud
Both into the quarter finals of the Devon Premier Cup.
Beer Albion and Lapford did the League proud by reaching the quarter finals of the Sportslighting Devon Premier cup this weekend. Both had home advantage but they came through with flying colours to get into the last eight. At Furzebrake a contingent of County officials and guests and also ground hoppers witnessed the fishermen recover from 2-1 down to floor their visitors Buckfastleigh Rangers 4-2. The returning Josh French bagged two of the goals, with Charlie Ledger and Charley Skilton getting one each.
Lapford are through after powering past Barnstaple Town Res 7-0, the North Devon side collapsing in the last half an hour after almost constant pressure. On target for Lapford were Mark Tucker 2, Ben Tucker, Dom Stapleton, Josh Phillips, Gavin Weeks and Chris Burrow.

Sadly the weather defeated the friday night match Premier at Axminster Town against Colyton, and then on saturday the match between Thoverton and Ottery St Mary was abandoned after 58 minutes due to an unplayable surface. Thorverton were leading 5-1 at the time.
Two Premier games were completed. The University were 5-0 winners at Sidmouth Town with Toby Pegge 2, Thomas Jordan, Tom Bignell and Kieran Clayton finding the back of the net, and Elmore won by a single goal at Ottery St Mary with Mason King getting the vital goal.
