An elated Upottery win again

DIVISIONS 1-4

An elated Upottery stay top of DIVISION ONE but were run close by the University in their return to action, the leaders edging it 2-1.
Winkleigh in second place also won 2-1, but not easy against a stubborn Teignmouth.
Newtown won their village derby against Newton St Cyres 2-0 but Wellington are on their heels after a convincing 4-1 win at home to an East Budleigh still seeking that first victory.
Beer Albion recorded the only goal of the game from their trip to Bow AAC, who are also still waiting for their first win.
Lympstone on the other hand did celebrate as they sent Topsham Town packing 2-0, as did Chard Town in another close game against Hatherleigh Town.

Not surprisingly St Martins are steaming ahead in DIVISION TWO, a 5-1 win at previously unbeaten Cranbrook underlining their strength.
Exmouth Spartans were 2-1 winners at Feniton but five points still separate them from the Saints.
Tedburn St Mary move into third spot after a 2-0 win at home to Dunkeswell Rovers, and with Westexe Park Rangers involved in Devon Senior cup action at Buckfastleigh where they did the League proud winning 4-0 and booking a second round home tie against Culm United.
The University opened their account with a 4-0 win at home to Tipton St John which was their first defeat.

Hemyock sit proudly as DIVISION THREE leaders thanks to a 2-0 win down at the seaside in Lyme Regis, but Heavitree United are on their trail thanks to a convincing 5-0 win at home to South Zeal United .
Witheridge slipped back to third after tripping up 2-1 at AFC Exe who have now won both their league matches to date.
It looks like happy days could be returning to Seaton Town as they demolished visitors Bampton 7-1, and Chagford finally had something to celebrate as they conquered Broadclyst 5-1.
Halwill and Broadclyst shared an entertaining 4-4 draw, the only share in the entire Senior ranks.

East Budleigh won their top of the table DIVISION FOUR derby against Sidmouth Town 4-2 which keeps them three points clear of the pack. The vikings stay joint second with St Thomas SC who were without a game.
Budleigh Salterton were much too strong for Colyton winning 6-0, bettered only by Uplyme who were seven up at home to Cheriton Fitzpaine without reply.
Culm United won their derby 2-1 at Cullompton Rangers, Alphington beat Elmore 4-1 to record their first success and Exeter United opened their season with a 2-0 win at Dawlish United who have now lost their three opening fixtures.
