THE WEATHER CHIPPING AWAY AT TOMORROWS PROGRAMME

SATURDAY MARCH 2

Lympstone football club have had their hopes of making history in reaching their first ever County cup final delayed. The Stones were due to face Newton Abbot Spurs Res at the Marine camp in the Devon Senior competition this saturday but the tie has been postponed. So the semi final will now switch to the Spurs ground next week and Lympstone’s century and a quarter wait for the opportunity is on hold until then.

Meanwhile right across the River Exe and possibly in view, Starcross Dons and Railway FC face each other for a place in the Devon Intermediate cup final. This tie promises to be a corker between the two leaders of Division 5 and Division 6 respectively.

The rainy weather is still gradually ticking off both league and cup ties and with such weather uncertainty overnight we are down to around 20 fixtures so I have limited this preview and have fingers crossed that now we are in the business end of the season there will be some action.
