The weekends Premier and Senior action

Hemyock and South Zeal with the shocks.

Neither leaders Lapford or their closest rivals Thorverton were in action this week but still four matches in Premier including the big derby at Axminster Town where Lyme Regis came out on top 2-0 with strikes from Fred Parsons and Joe Bond.
Beer Albion chasing third place won 5-1 at Elmore with Tony Pinder, Josh French and Justin Hale getting singles. Giles Basson with a double with one goal described as a wonder strike.
Ottery St Mary also won 5-1 away on foreign soil at Colyton with Luke Paramore scoring twice. Jake Boyland, Connor Swingler and one other completed the scoring. Jake Richards with the Colyton reply.
Sidmouth Town racked up a 7-1 victory at home to Okehampton Argyle with both Scott Hughes and Corey Rogers netting twice. Matt Salter, James Clarke and Kieran White with the others.


Still half a dozen clubs battling out the Division One crown with Alphington currently ahead of the field after a 2-1 win at home to Lympstone. Charlie Skinner with the Lympets reply.
Wellington Town put their case forward after a 5-1 win at Halwill, as did Topsham Town who won by the same score at home to Upottery.
East Budleigh had their run checked by Newtown in a 2-2 draw. Rian Hill and Nathan Penhallrick with the home goals, Ashley Mcdermid and Dale O’Donoghue with the Newtown goals.

Teignmouth gained ground in Division Two with a 2-0 win at Tedburn St Mary, Travis Robinson and Ryan Tresidder with the goals and Tipton St John kept up their hopes of a top three finish as they sent Chagford packing 5-2.
Newton St Cyres edged Exmouth Spartans in a belter with Dylan Wilson netting twice and Paul Ruddok once. Sam Dickinson with both Spartans goals and man of the match.

Hemyock came up with a big surprise in Division Three as they stung title chasing Central 3-0 on their own patch. Kurtis Robbins, Keith Fursey and Jake Welch with the goals.
St Martins underlined their claim as well winning 6-0 at Lyme Regis thanks to a James Goldsmith treble, Finley Short double and Hugh Stronge.

Not quite there yet but Cranbrook can see the Division Four winning post after a 4-2 win at home to Sidmouth Town. Frank Long and Loren Hall goals replied for the vikings.
South Zeal United chasing third place boosted their hopes with a stunning 5-1 success at Farway United which has probably blown their chances of winning the title. Four second half goals froml Tom Chasty shattered Farway, the other goal from Tom Bullingham.
Millwey Rise won 2-0 at home to East Budleigh in the other game played.

LEAGUE CUP Senior Divisions

Honiton Town staked a claim for a place in the knockout stages of the League cups Senior division Group A as they won 4-2 at Exeter United. Adam Down, Bradley Morris, Kieran Pike and Ryan Pike with the goals.
Three teams share the lead in Group B including Broadclyst after they won 4-2 at Clyst Valley which in turn was their third defeat. Ayodeji Akinpelu and Vinnie Brockington with the Valley goals.
