WINKS JOSTLING TOP SPOT WITH THE CHAMPS

SATURDAYS PREMIER ROUND UP OCTOBER 14

PREMIER DIVISION

Alphington moved into pole position in Premier after their convincing 4-0 victory at home to Lapford, but they have surprise companions in Winkleigh who in their first ever Premier season share an identical record with the reigning champions and both stand unbeaten. The Winks scored the only goal of their game at Crediton United Res but what a day to remember.

Upottery slipped from top as they were held by Clyst Valley neither side managing to find the net, with Kentisbeare up into fourth place from a 2-0 success at Elmore Res who considering their lowly plight made it a good contest.

The University Res remain unbeaten after they came out top 3-2 from a good battle at home to early leaders Colyton, while Sandford and Lyme Regis shared the spoils from another tight game which ended 2-2.
