Gallant Awls fall to early strikes

A packed Sandy Lane crowd saw Devon Yeoman capture the Bill Slee cup for the first time in their history with a 2-0 win against Awliscombe United. The Yeoman managed to break through the Awls defence twice in the opening quarter of the game with goals from Corey Salter and Bailey Smith and were sound enough to hold on to that lead in a well fought final. Both teams deserve full praise for contesting the first local cup at this level for three years.
