FRIDAY/SATURDAY AUGUTS 29/30

Bank holiday weekend and the first full programme kicked off on Friday evening in Division Three with our oldest club Heavitree United beating city neighbours Royal Oak at Wingfield Park 3-0. Great start for the Heavies whose goals came from Stewart, Talbot and Way.
Also on Friday the first ever matches in the newly named Division 6 labels. Axminster Town beating Uplyme 2-1 in the Brown and Hemyock winning 3-0 over at Elmore in Webb with Beatty, Syvret and new secretary Lower on target.

PREMIER ROUND UP

So to Saturday and Premier with newly promoted Westexe Park Rangers stealing the limelight after flooring St Martins 6-1. Goals for the home side came from Hide 2, White, Gerrard, Mackerness and a Crocker penalty.
However Sidmouth Town take over as league leaders although held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Feniton. Collins and Brooks earning Fenny their first point.
Beer Albion registered their first success since moving down from the DEFL 1-0 at East Budleigh, but South Zeal United still seeking their first point since being promoted losing 2-1 at home to Ottery St Mary. Green and Bowyer with the Otters return, Lynam getting the home goal.
Crediton United also won 2-1 away to Lyme Regis which was their third defeat. Grossett with both Kirton goals, Loader-Mouland for the Fort Davey team.

SENIOR ROUND UP

Dawlish United head the Division One table after edging Tedburn St Mary 3-2, Gibson-Heard with both the Teds goals, while Kentisbeare opened their season winning their derby against Elmore 2-1, Boyland and Tinworth-Tanner with their goals. Carter with a consolation.
However a star studded performance from Clyst Valley striker Aiken with a double hat-trick as they swept Newton St Cyres aside 7-0. Jason-Ryan with the 7th.
Hatherleigh Town and Alphington shared six goals, Paramore, Quick and Moore on the mark for the home side, but the game at Exmouth between Exmouth Spartans and Central called off as the pitch was waterlogged.

Witheridge announced their season in Division Two running riot against Broadclyst 9-0. Burrow and Clark with trebles, Tucker tucking in with two and Symns just the ace.
Morchard Bishop cut it fine to beat Lympstone 4-3, as did Cullompton Rangers at Beer where Davey scored the vital goal. Driver man of the match for the fishermen.

Just one match played in Division Three but a good start for Okehampton Argyle as they sent Feniton packing 4-1. Tyler with all four Okey goals, Badcott with the Fenny consolation.

Division Four produced a mammoth 32 goals from the four games played and heading the way were Uplowman Athletic at St Martins where they won 12-0. Jee with 4, Reed, Cornish and Burns-Cox with pairs, Marshall and Greenslade with one each.
Dunkeswell Rovers also impressive at Cheriton Fitzpaine where they won 6-3, Northcott the star with four goals, Godfrey and Wilkinson adding.
Topsham Town 6-1 winners against Whipton & Pinhoe, Packer and Gilmore string twice, Matthews and Wilkes once.
Last up but just as exciting Beacon Knights and Millwey Rise with a 2-2 draw. Faulkner and Gent on the mark for the Knights, Tait and Whitehouse for Millwey.
