NO HALLOWEEN SHOCKS FOR THE VIKINGS

SATURDAYS PREMIER ROUND UP

Premier division leaders Sidmouth Town refused to be spooked by Jurassic neighbours Lyme Regis and treated themselves to a 5-1 victory at Manstone Lane to consolidate top spot. Lyme had some respite with a consolation goal from Burroughs but not enough trickery to trouble the Vikings.

Second place Westexe Park Rangers found themselves a goal down at Feniton but recovered to win 2-1. Mackerness and Harvey with their goals while for Feniton Brook was their pick of the side.

East Budleigh produced a top effort to destroy the University 4-0 at Topsham road, and that took them a point ahead of Colyton and three of Upottery who were battling out a 2-2 draw at Glebe Park. McCreadie-Taylor with both goals for the hosts and Conway with both goals for Colyton with Clode their man of the match.

St Martins finally notched up a home win 1-0 against Beer Albion and it was as close as it suggests with both teams giving it their best.

Finally what a day for South Zeal United as they overturned Crediton United 2-0, Fulcher getting both goals and giving the newcomers to the top flight renewed confidence.
