DEVON INTERMEDIATE CUP
An astonishing outcome at Hemyock in their Intermediate cup meeting with Bampton. The home side led 4-0 at the break then went five up before the ponies galloped back to draw 5-5. The penalty shoot out was just as entertaining but eventually Bampton won that 4-3 with teenager Henderson getting the crucial decider.
Some huge scores elsewhere led by holders Exmouth Albion 10-0 at Cranbrook United. Bowyer and Doyle with a pair each, Phillips, Fell, Matos, Hodge, Clifford and pick of the team Craven with one each.
Just down the road Cranbrook Town also out after losing 5-0 against Chudleigh.
Torridgeside topped the scoring charts winning 12-0 at Okehampton Argyle, and an 11-0 defeat at Georgeham & Croyde for Lympstone.
Otterton were 1-1 at the break against Tamerton Foliot then crumbled and lost 8-1.
Awliscombe United through on pens after a 2-2 draw with Tavistock Association, and also Exmouth Riptide 4-1 on pens having come back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 in 90 mins.
Axmouth United through 4-3 against Fremington from North Devon in a topsy turvey match but two goals from Dyer including the winner from a penalty, and one each Pritchard and Monk did the trick , while Bradninch 3-0 winners at Stoke Gabriel Police, Upham with two goals and Ransley.
Axminster Town with the only goal of the tie to beat Lifton 1-0, Priory 2-0 winners at Broadhempstone, and a 2-0 victory for Seaton Town against Equalisers with Hill and Sherman finding the net. Seaton also missed a penalty.
Whipton & Pinhoe edged out Phoenix United 3-2, Harley, Dylan and Cody scoring, Hatherleigh Town 3-2 winners as well at Tedburn St Mary, while Sandford won a thriller against North Tawton 5-3.
Disappointment for Farway United at Merton where the North Devon side won 4-2, Beck and Welch scoring for Farway whose star player was Vinnicombe.
Casualties also were Westexe Park Rangers beaten 3-1 at home by Kingsteignton, and Elmore just down the road 5-1 by Horrabridge.
Chagford were handed a walkover as opponents Millwey Rise forfeited, as did Braunton who were handed the tie by South Zeal United.
