CHAMPIONS OFF TO WINNING START IN NAIL-BITER AGAINST THE NEIGHBOURS

Reigning Premier champions Upottery cut it fine to see off neighbours Feniton 1-0 on friday evening at Glebe Park. An early goal from Edwardson won it but Fenny had enough chances throughout to get at least a point. Upottery felt they justifed the win with some great defence, but Fenny supporters went away disappointed their side didnt get any reward.

The other match on friday saw Colyton snatch an equally exciting 3-2 win against their neighbours Beer Albion, now back after four years in the Devon Football League where they certainly made their name. A big following at the Peace Memorial playing fields saw two goals from Somers and one from Conway edge out the fishermen whose replies came from Daniels and Knox.
