KICK OFF TIME 2026

FRIDAY 21 AUGUST

What an exciting and brilliant start to the new season this Friday evening August 21 and then again on Saturday. Back in the fold are Beer Albion following their successful spell in the Devon Football League and they make the short journey over to Colyton for a massive local derby. Both teams hopeful of a good start and would be a surprise if Peace Memorial Playing fields is not packed for the take off.
Then over at champions Upottery they prepare for neighbours Feniton who are hoping to have a stronger challenge this season and will be looking forward to a good result at Glebe Park which again is likely to be packed out.

Less than 24 hours later and Premier debuts for both South Zeal United at home to Sidmouth Town, and for Westexe Rovers at Washbrook meadows to square up against Ottery St Mary. This could not have happened a few years ago but changes will enable both Premier debutants to make their mark.
Elsewhere Crediton United host Wellington Town who finished third last season, but now our one and only Somerset team as Chard Town have pulled out, and Lyme Regis host East Budleigh both having been delighted to have ended the last term in the top half of the table.

A few more Premier matches in midweek follow before the rest of the League sweep in so local soccer fans everywhere get ready.

If the League has a wish for the new season it is that players and spectators will treat officials with more respect as some matches may be hard to cover, but for everyone to enjoy our national game and keep it prospering. Good luck everyone!
