Huge disappointment for Colyton at home to one time league rivals from many years ago Chudleigh Athletic crashing out of the Devon Premier cup 3-1. Chudleigh striker Davidson notched all three goals to destroy Colyton hopes of a run in the Countys major competition at this level. Chudleigh are now at home to Landkey from North Devon.

Meanwhile Hemyock cantered into the next round of the A & S Devon Intermediate cup 8-1 against Starcross Dons. It was just 1-1 at the break but after that a tale of woe for the Dons whose Ben Gill was sent off after getting their only goal. One bright point new keeper Lawson-Nelder was outstanding despite the avalanche.

PREMIER DIVISION

A day for Westexe Park Rangers to jot down in their memorabilia after reaching the highest pinnacle they have been at, Premier division leaders. It was also Westexe first ever Premier date at Beer Albion and saw then come away 2-1 winners, Crocker with both goals, one in each half.

Sidmouth Town plans to go top were checked at Crediton United where it finished 1-1, Carpenter with the Kirton goal, and a massive result for East Budleigh to deny champions Upottery at Glebe Park the points shared from a 2-2 draw. Tratt-Skinner and Leisk with the Upottery goals, Hill and Lever for Budleigh.

However the biggest smiles around were over the border at Lyme Regis where they turned over South Zeal United 7-4 to rack up their first win this season. Rowe and Symonds with hat-tricks, plus an own goal, while for Zeal a Fulcher double, Mills and Nicholas goals easing the pain.

A first win of the season for Feniton 4-1 at Ottery St Mary their nearest neighbours just a week after losing to the Otters first team in the county cup. Likewise a first win for Wellington Town at St Martins, Barrett with the only goal, but Saints were denied by a superb effort from tangerines keeper Hawkings.
