SWEET 16 FOR PRIORY AGAINST THE TEDS

SENIOR ROUND UP LEAGUE AND CUPS

First home win at the fourth attempt for Alphington in Division One, and some scoreline, as they won 7-4 against lively visitors Tedburn St Mary.
Just one other match played with the University beating Central 3-0 and along with the Alphas moving up a couple of places in the table.

Nothing beat the weather in Division Two or Division Three, but three of the six meetings due to take place did in Division Four and saw Topsham Town take over as leaders following their 3-0 win at Beacon Knights, while former leaders Uplowman United were scuppered 2-0 by Alphington. For Topsham, Christian netted twice, Schinder once with Skinner taking the m.o.m award.

Division Five saw Priory rack up a 16-3 win at home to Tedburn St Mary who to their credit managed three goals to soften the blow. Talbot 4, Kalinov 3, Fisher 2, Powell 2, Howe 2, Stevens 2 and Woodward all scrambling to get their names on the scoresheet.
However it is Exmouth Albion heading the table and no let up after their 5-0 win against Bradninch whose skipper Hawkins was outstanding.
Chagford scored the only goal of the game at Bampton to cling on to second place

The Bill Slee cup was almost a whitewash, four rained off, just one tie surviving, at Witheridge where they demolished Exeter Royals 6-1. Burrow and Tucker both scoring twice, Crosbie and Hamill once, Roper with the consolation for Royals.
